Instead of waiting years for the right length - which does not guarantee that the hair is thick and healthy - a visit to the hairdresser is enough.

Although people always talk about hair extensions, with the use of extensions the hair can not only be lengthened, but also thickened. Many women who want more volume have extensions used to thicken them. In some cases, shorter strands of hair are incorporated so that the top hair is supported from below and looks more voluminous.
If you have very thin hair, you should avoid extensions. On the one hand, your own hair can break or even fall out due to the weight of the extensions, and on the other hand, it is very difficult to hide the extensions under the thin top hair.

Bonding Extensions
In the bonding technique, individual strands are attached to your own hair with the help of keratin or plastic plates, the so-called “bondings”. This variant is one of the highest quality methods of hair extension. Between 100 to 150 wafer-thin strands are attached to the roots using heat, air pressure or ultrasound. Thanks to the thin and flat connection points, the extensions are hardly noticeable.
The Italian company "Great Lengths" introduced the first ultrasound system with the UltraSonic in 2000 and revolutionized the market just three years later with the Airpressure system. With the air pressure method, several strands can be incorporated at the same time, saving a lot of time.
Bonding extensions is the method that lasts the longest. Depending on hair growth, quality of the extensions and care, they can remain in the hair for up to six months.
Microring Extensions
Small micro rings (approx. 2 - 4 mm in diameter), which are covered with silicone on the inside and are available in different colors, are used for hair extensions. The extensions are inserted into the metal rings using a needle and then pressed together with pliers. The strands are easy to insert and remove and require no heat or glue to attach. The hair extensions last around four to six weeks.
Tape Extensions
In the so-called sandwich method, your own hair is stuck between these two hair tapes. This creates a perfectly holding, yet flexible and soft connection with your own hair without sharp edges. The risk of hair breakage, such as with the bonding method, is eliminated, as is an unpleasant feeling of pressure when lying down.
Weaving
Another method is the so-called weaving process. With this hair extension, the hair strands are sewn onto your own hair. Very fine cornrows are braided as a basis and the extensions are sewn on with a special thread. The procedure takes a few hours, but the small braids are barely visible. The extensions last two to three months. If the real hair wefts have been well cared for, they can be used again.
Clip-in Extensions
If you want to fulfill your dream of having long hair for just one evening, you can use clip-in extensions. The strands of hair or wefts are clipped into the hair and create fuller, longer hair in just a few simple steps.

Brazilian hair extensions are much gentler. Here, tiny strands of foreign hair are taken together and tied by hand to your own hair at a distance of one finger width using a special, elastic thread. No welding, no gluing, the result is tiny, almost invisible but bombproof bonding points. The hair extensions can be removed at any time without solvents and will not harm your own hair. Disadvantage: This method is very time-consuming and takes between three and seven hours, depending on the effort.
How long does the method last?
In general, the durability of hair extensions depends on how quickly your hair grows. On average, it takes about four months for the bonding points to grow out to the point where they need to be raised.
